Khalid Waheed
Chairman
Mr. Khalid Waheed a graduate from the Karachi University in 1993 with a degree in MSC in Economics initiated his career from Jaffri & Associates, an electrical consultancy firm, as a junior engineer / economist. He has worked with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank as a local consultant on the Village Electrical Program Project.
Mr. Waheed has been associated with the Pakistani capital markets for the past 15 years. His innovative approach and leadership ensures that Diyanah Islamic Financial Services (Pvt.) Limited incorporates the latest technology and leads the industry in the products and services it offers.
Mr. Waheed is a former member of the Islamabad Stock Exchange and has been operating a brokerage firm for the past 9 years. With his intricate knowledge of the stock market and his strong work ethic Mr. Waheed leads the entire team of professionals at Diyanah Islamic Financial Services (Pvt.) Limited as Chairman of the Company.
Khaleel Mujeeb Ur Rehman
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Khaleel Mujeeb Ur Rehman brings 10 years of experience in the field of IT and management skills to DIFS which are pivotal components of an organization. He specializes in various facets of Software Engineering. Quality Assurance, Software Engineering and Project Management are Mr. Rehman’s strengths that he has proven up till now in whatever projects he has been working on.
His father Mr. Mujeeb ur Rehman (late), one of the founding members of Islamabad Stock Exchange inspired him to join the Stock Exchange and now he is a worthy member of ISE. He is currently the CEO of Diyanah Islamic Financial Services (Pvt) Ltd, with the mentorship of Mr. Khalid Waheed, a renowned name of Karachi Stock Exchange. Mr. Rehman has been a CEO of Rehman Equities (Pvt) Ltd. He has progressed to DIFS having a gradual shift towards Islamic brokerage.
Simultaneously, Mr. Rehman works as CEO MS Systems, an IT solution provider company undertaking multiple projects. Along with his team of young professionals, he ensures that these projects are completed timely and are up to the mark. Prior to joining the IT and Stock Market, he has served in Pakistan Air Force as a Flight Lieutenant in the IT Branch.
Mr. Rehman holds an MCS degree in Software Engineering and Quality Assurance from Bahria University, Islamabad.
Owais Anis
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Owais Anis possesses an MSc Economics degree from Karachi University. He has Equity markets experience of more than 20 years. He emphasizes on building, training and managing teams of professionals for building institution’s image and that of its employees. He is responsible to monitor trades executions & clients exposures, developing relationship with financial institutions, local high net worth clients and investors, liaising with SECP & CDC auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out; monitoring cash flows of settlements Operations. He focuses on creating trust amongst investors and ensures delivery of efforts leading to win-win situation for all stakeholders.
Mr. Anis before joining Diyanah Islamic Financial Service (Pvt.) Limited as COO, had served in several corporate brokerage houses in Sales and Operations Department.
Ali Muhammad Usmani
Head of Research
Mr. Ali Muhammad Usmani holds a Master of Economics & Finance (MEF) from Karachi University. He has also completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) From KASBIT. He has over 3 year experience in sale side equity research. Before joining Diyanah Islamic Financial Service (Pvt.) Limited, he was associated with Hum Securities Limited as a Research Analyst.
He is responsible to conduct Fundamental and Technical Analysis, by incorporating different ratios, Financial Modeling, Financial Forecasts and Financial Analysis. He also analyze the Portfolios, and to assist the concerned dealers, and client regarding buying and selling of certain shares.
